Over the course of time, it's been a hobby of mine to collect bits and pieces from various sources. Where it has been available to me, I will always provide the author. If you have anything you would like to share, please pass it along. I will be sure to credit you if I use it.

I do this only as a means of rationalizing exactly why I saved these things for so long, and, more importantly, to give you something to ponder and maybe smile about as you go through the details of your day.

A Summary of the World --- by Forest Felling

If we could, at this time, shrink the Earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look like this:

There would be 57 Asians, 21 Europeans, 14 from the Western Hemisphere (North and South) and 8 Africans.

70 would be non-white; 30 white

70 would be non-Christian; 30 Christian

50% of the entire worlds' wealth would be in the hands of only 6 people

All 6 would be citizens of the United States

70 would be unable to read

50 would suffer from malnutrition

80 would live in sub-standard housing

Only 1 would have a College education

When one considers our world from such an incredibly compressed perspective, the need for both tolerance and understanding becomes glaringly apparent.

A Little Whimsy

"Dijon vu" - the feeling that you've tasted this mustard before

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese

If today were a dress I'd return it

If a messy kitchen is the sign of a happy home, then mine must be delerious

Adventure is just discomfort in retrospect
